Adult Show....
"Oh yeah, I know Geoff Everett..." is a familiar catchphrase on the scene: he's been blazing since the 60s and, in truth probably retains more lead in his musical pencil than most of that era's superstars.
On standouts tracks like 'Professor Honey Juice Blues'and 'I'm A Hog For You', guitarist Everett fuses an older man's phrasing with a younger one's irreverence, meaning it's not just adults who are likely to enjoy this Show.

"Adult Show Album"
A practically perfect sound is created right before your very ears.
With just three permanent members in this talented band, it is astonishing to hear the quality coming from the fingers and vocal chords of them all. Based in Kent, the Geoff Everett Band really does know how to notch the volume up to eleven and back.
There are many to choose from the twelve to really blow you away. Possessing one of the fastest rhythms of the album is When The Damage Is Done. Utilising some impressive picking and storming vocals, Al Clark’s harmonica is simply the icing on the cake. A commonly used blue chord forms the basis of I Just Wanna Make Love To You but, again, the band shows that they do not follow in the footsteps of other bands but create a unique sound which is hard to come by in contemporary music.
The play regularly around the UK and Europe, and this second record by them is something to marvel at and enjoy in the best way possible; listening full blast and bopping along until at least a muscle or two is pulled. Russell Hill

I am so glad that you have had direct feedback from listeners hearing you on BRUK. The station is doing its job of playing great music and supporting / promoting known and unknown bands.
I do have to say once (your album) 'Adult Show' was added to the playlist rotations and everyone here had listened to it I put it straight into the cd changer in the car. It hasn’t been taken out since it went in. It does wonders when you are stuck in traffic.

I'm not easily surprised by a blues band and now I am again. This three-man English band lets you enjoy their music as you seldom encounter. On this twelve-track disc, we are taken on a journey that takes us a long time to come. Most songs are by the man himself pegged with the exception of "I Just Want to Make Love To You" (Dixon) and "Steady Rolling Man" (Johnson). Both covers are redesigned in a different way that you would almost think that no covers are well done.
The highly acclaimed song "Professor Honey Juice Blues" is also available on the band’s previous CD but is also on an American collector album "All Aboard The Blues" where the numbers of mainly between American blues musicians stands. That says enough about the quality I think. After several times to have played the CD I think this band on stage will be an act not to be missed. Geoff’s guitar playing is tough but not hard with the requisite solos supported by a good drummer and bass player all in a warm jacket stabbing. The whole is not innovative, but has a sauce sounds familiar yet fresh and you want more and more and more. These guys deserve a break to leave the pub circuit, and this CD is a good chance it will succeed.

THE GEOFF EVERETT BAND: Adult Show: Self produced <www.thegeoffeverettband.co.uk
Every now and again something special comes through the letter box and this CD is one of those special things. I have to admit I had never heard of the Geoff Everett Band before, perhaps you haven’t either, but I really hope that is rectified by you ASAP.
Right from the first bent chord from Mr Everett’s telecaster, the music, bumps and grinds and swings and sways pretty much like the Adult Show it is.
The CD is a nice mix of covers and self-penned songs, the latter group including the cracking ‘Professor Honey Juice’ and the wonderful ‘Swine Fever Blues’.
The covers come from Muddy and Son House (or RJ if you will) but don’t expect them to sound anything like the originals.
In short a terrific outing by a band that deserves a MUCH larger audience.

Chris Naden - The Queens Head, Rye - 13 February at 09:06 ReportLast night was an excellent one for us, thank you again for that! I'm currently organising the tourist season gigs, and I was hoping to get one in from Geoff in early July and one in late August; I'll be back to you with dates when I've got things clarified.
Thanks again!

Hi Geoff,
Sorry, yes - 'Adult Show'. That's a much better title than 'Night Show'.
You're a hell of a guitar player, by the way.
Cheers,
Henry

Pete,
Superb double bill with Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack and Geoff Everett Band
The Geoff Everett Band was outstanding, giving a blistering performance of R&B as it should be played – a very tight trio with a fantastic rhythm section and Geoff out front with wicked slide guitar work and real good vocals too.
